How much does signage cost in Sydney?

The five things that set the price, what CRINO actually charges from our own price list, and the ways sharp businesses spend less.

"What does a sign cost?" is the second-most common question in our studio — right after "how fast can you do it?". The honest answer: it depends on five things, but the ranges are predictable once you know them. Here's what actually drives signage pricing in Sydney, and what CRINO charges, straight from our own price list.

The five things that set the price

1Size & placement

Bigger signs need more material, more structure and often council approval. A window decal and a 6-metre shopfront panel are different economies.

2Materials & finish

Corflute is cheap and cheerful for sites; ACM panels, cast films and laminates cost more and last years longer. Outdoors, always laminate.

3Illumination

Lightboxes and LED-illuminated signs roughly double the build — power access, wiring and often council consent. Worth it on a dark strip; skip it if your shopfront already floods with light.

4Installation

Ladder versus cherry picker versus rope access — access sets the install price. Ground-floor fascia is the friendliest budget you can have.

5Artwork

A print-ready vector logo keeps this at zero. Starting from scratch? That's a design job — ours start at $449 and come with files you own forever.

What CRINO charges — no riddles

These are real numbers from our pricing page, not "starting from" theatre:

WhatPriceIncludes
Logo design — Essential$449Your mark, built print-ready, files yours to keep.
Logo design — Signature$799The logo plus applications — cards, socials, signage mock-ups.
Brand kit — Launch$1,299Full kit: logo, cards, letterhead, socials — everything a new business signs off in one go.

Signage Pack$690Design + print bundle for your main sign — the smart starting point.

Individual signs are quoted per job — most land between the low hundreds for site corflutes, safety and real-estate boards and banners, up for illuminated shopfront suites. Quotes are free, fast and itemised — you'll see exactly what each part costs.

Five ways to spend less

  1. Start with the Signage Pack. The design work is the expensive part — bundles bring it down.
  2. Design once, use everywhere. One vector logo feeds your sign, cards, uniform and wrap — no re-drawing fees later.
  3. Skip illumination where light already exists. A well-lit strip makes your LED budget redundant.
  4. Batch what you'll need anyway. Sign now, banners for the opening, vehicle magnet for the ute — one artwork run, one delivery.
  5. Come with a tight brief. Two clear rounds beat six vague ones — revision time is real money.

Ask any signage provider — including us

  • Is installation and hardware included, or a surprise later?
  • Does the price assume council approval — and who handles it? (Most of our area sits with Liverpool City Council.)
  • What's the materials warranty outdoors, in Sydney sun?
  • Is design included, and do I own the files?
  • What does the proofing process look like before anything prints?
