How much does a vehicle wrap cost?

Magnetics to full colour-change wraps — real 2026 price bands, the five things that set them, and how to spend the least for the effect you want.

It is the first question every tradie, café owner and fleet manager asks, and the honest answer is a range — because "a vehicle wrap" can mean $90 of magnetic signage on two doors or a four-figure full colour change. Here are the real Australian price bands for each option, what moves the price, and the level of spend that actually suits your kind of work.

What each option costs — the 2026 bands

OptionTypical range (2026)Best for
Magnetic signs (pair)from $90–$150Part-time branding, shared vehicles, testing the water

Bands are typical for premium cast vinyl installed in Sydney in 2026. Cheaper calendered film exists — it shows within two Sydney summers. Every CRINO quote is exact for your vehicle, coverage and design, before anything prints.

The five things that set the price

1Coverage

A logo on two doors is a fraction of the work of a full body. Most of the price difference between "wrapped" and "branded" is right here.

2Vehicle size and shape

Vans and utes carry more material; tight curves, bumpers and rooflines add install hours. A flat-sided van wraps faster than a curvy hatch.

3Film grade

Premium cast vinyl costs more and lasts 5–7 years in Sydney sun. We only print on cast — the cheaper film is a two-summer product.

4Design complexity

Clean layouts print and install sharper; photographic full-coverage designs take more design and proof time. Simple sells anyway.

5How many vehicles

The second van costs less than the first — the design and setup are already done. Fleets get honest tiered pricing.

What a wrap actually buys you

  • The working-day maths. A $3,000 wrap over its 5–7 year life costs $1.20–$1.65 a day — less than a single social media boost, working every traffic light from Liverpool to Casula to Campbelltown.
  • Paint protection. Factory paint under quality cast film is shielded from stone chips and UV — a quiet bonus at lease-return time.
  • Fleet consistency. One design, every vehicle, every job — the brand looks as big as it is becoming.
  • It cannot be scrolled past. Unlike every other ad you buy, a wrap is on the road working whether you are at lunch, on a job or parked out front.

Spend the right amount for your work

  1. Testing the water: magnetics on one vehicle for a month. If the calls move, you have your answer for the price of a tank of fuel.
  2. Customer-facing businesses — cafés, salons, real estate, mobile services: you are the brand, and a partial or full wrap pays for itself in presentation alone.
  3. Fleets: wrap the unit that does the most kilometres first; decal or magnetic the rest until volume pricing makes wrapping them all the obvious move.

Vehicle wrap FAQs

How long does it take to wrap a vehicle?

Design and proof first — usually a day or two. Then install: most single vehicles are wrapped in one to two days at our Moorebank studio, so you are off the road overnight, not for a week.

Does a vehicle wrap damage the paint?

No — quality cast film actually protects factory paint from stone chips and sun, and removes cleanly when it is time. The honest caveat: panels that have been repainted or touched up can be riskier to remove; we check and flag those before we print.

How long does a vehicle wrap last?

Five to seven years of Sydney sun with basic care — hand washing, no brush washes. Our vehicle wrap care guide has the routine that gets you to the top of that range.

Wrap or magnetic signs for a single ute?

Magnetics if the vehicle is shared, parked in public a lot, or you are testing the water. A wrap if the ute is on the road daily — permanent advertising, higher impact, nothing to remove at night. Many start on magnetics and wrap once the calls come in.
